This North Carolina Maple bowl was hand turned from a slab of maple.  It was turned with the original bark on the top edge and left natural (live edge).  It has 4 coats of tounges oil to maintain the natural look of the wood while still allowing for daily use.  Occasional oiling (olive oil) is required.  The piece measures 5.5"x5.5"x4.75" and weighs 1.0 lbs.
